We are really glad to announce the 7th edition of the Clinic Resano bros. & Bocha Sailing Coach which will be held together with the Medsailing Meeting Regatta from 8th to 12th of May 2013 at Club Nautic El Balís, Catalonia, Spain.

On this opportunity we are opening the clinic to 3 more dinghy classes- strategic youth classes prior to Olympic Classes: 29er, 420 and Laser!

We count with experienced and high leveled headcoaches such as:

Manny Resano (renown coach for worldchampions and southamerican champions in Optimist class)
Bocha Pollitzer (renown coach of world champion sailors in optimist, laser and 29er)
Fetu Villambrosa (29er world champion)
Carlos Robles (29er world & European champion and topten world Optisailor)
Gael Le Mauguen (renown coach for optimist, 29er, 420 and laser classes)
Lola Resano (headcoach for Club Maritim Altafulla and worldwide experienced coach with optisailors)
Magda Resano (organizer for Resano Bros. Clinics, headcoach for Club Nautic El Balís and coach for catalan optimist team and worldwide experience with European and American Optimist teams)

Moreover, along the clinic days, we will also have:

Great moments to share altogether in the ´after water training´ meals (Butifarra and/or Fideua)
Sails tests for those willing to try different sail models (optimist and 420)
Prizes and gifts to outstanding sailors
Special Meeting with World Champion Sailors, who will tell us but their competition experiences.

David and Alex Charles, absolute winners of the MedSailing Meeting

The absolute winners have said to be really satisfied with the trophy but also with the experience “It has been a high level race. We’ve competed in 420 with the first 10 of the national ranking”. Charles brothers have won the most disputed award. Where there has been a tie between 4 classes.

In this edition of the MedSailing José Mª van der Ploeg and his crew on board of the Nilfisk (CN El Balís) have been proclaimed Champions of Catalonia in J80 with just 6 points. Followed by their club partners, the Akewele feminine crew under the command of Andrea Cornudella. The bronze has been for the Mikaku of Lluís Corbella (RCN Barcelona).

Carlos Robles and Florian Trittel (CN El Balís) have reached the 29er Catalan Champions tittle. The silver has gone for the Garraf’s couple: Martí Llena and Oriol Mahiques. While Miguel Angel Mateo has been Champion of Catalonia of the Finn class.

The spectacular, the dynamism, the youth and the rivalry have been the ingredients of this exquisite cocktail of classes at the MedSailing Meeting. El Balís has turned into a sea of sails, where more than 70 professionals and volunteers have made of this edition a successful one.

Nowadays conditions have required the most to the regatta’s committee. Who has given races for all the classes, except of the Optimist. In this class, Carla Munté (CN Salou) imposed herself to the international fleet. The 2^nd classified has been Antonio López (RCR Cartagena) and the 3th classified has been David Wilson from the ZVYC of South Africa. Carlos de Maqua (CN Arenys de Mar) has been the winner of the group 2 of Optimist and Nil Subirats (CV Palamós) of the group 3.

The winners of the 420 category have been the locals David Charles and Alex Charles, followed by Santi Mas and Jaime Menescal (CN Masnou) and Xavier Antich and Ramon Lleonart (CN S’Arenal). Joan Tomás and Joan Méndez (CN Premià) have imposed themselves in Disabled Sailing. Alberto Guillén (CN Salou) in Radial Laser, Josep M. Nogués (CN Cambrils) in 4.7 Laser and Miguel Noguer Lloret in Standard Laser – his father, Miguel Noguer Castellví has been the leader at the Master class -. Toni Bonet (CM Altafulla) has imposed himself firmly in Techno 293. Salvi Borrat and Sergi Pérez (CN l’Estartit) in RSFeva, Marc Verdaguer (CN l’Estartit) in Fx-1. Oriol Nuet and J.M. Bellod (CN Mar de Aragón) in F18. In Yacht: Almaran NY (CN El Balís) has been the 1^st classified of the classics, Duende 50 (CN Arenys de Mar) at the RI with crew and Surribulli (CN El Balís) at the Solo.

At the price giving ceremony we had the presence of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres Mayor, Mr. Bernat Graupera, Caldres d’Estarc Mayor, Mr. Joaquim Arnó and Sant Vicenç de Montalt Mayor, Mr. Miguel Ángel MArtínez. Along with Gerard Esteve and his Commodore, Pepe Sánchez. All of them have expressed their satisfaction with the excellent development of the competition as well as the huge national and international participation of the event.
